President's Message

It is a great privilege to connect with you through the official platform of the Uttar Pradesh Library Association (U.P.L.A.), Uttar Pradesh. Since 1956, UPLA has been dedicated to promoting library and information services, professional development, knowledge sharing, and library culture across the state and the nation.

As President of UPLA, I believe our responsibility extends beyond preserving knowledge to ensuring equitable access to information, promoting information literacy, supporting research, and upholding the values of free and open access to knowledge.

UPLA continuously works to strengthen the LIS professional community through seminars, workshops, training programs, and academic collaborations. We are especially committed to supporting young professionals and research scholars through skill development, career guidance, and employment opportunities in the LIS field.
